Root & Reclaim Counseling

Something in you already knows it needs more support.

Here, we slow down enough to listen—to your story, your body, and your nervous system—and begin finding your way back to yourself.

Accepting New Clients

Healing happens in CONNECTION

Trauma, relationships, and life's experiences can leave us feeling disconnected from who we are. Therapy is a space to reconnect with yourself, heal in relationship, and reclaim the parts of you that have been hidden, silenced, or shaped by survival.

Connection First

Therapy with Root & Reclaim begins with building safety, trust, and a strong therapeutic relationship.

Rooted in connection.

Guided by the nervous system.

Grounded in evidence-based care.

Mind, Body & Nervous System

Together we will listen to what your nervous system has learned and begin reconnecting mind and body.

Evidence-Based & Relational

I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches while staying responsive to your lived experience.

Meet the Therapist

Brit Bitters, LCSW

Hi, I am Brit

I am an LCSW and graduated from the University of Utah. I have worked as a mental health therapist since 2016 and have experience supporting teens, adults, families, and individuals of all genders. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of concerns, including trauma, domestic and sexual violence, attachment and relationship challenges, identity exploration, substance use, and life transitions.

My approach is relationship-first and grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to each client's unique needs, goals, and experiences.

I view people holistically. While our personal experiences and relationships matter, they do not exist in isolation. Our identities, communities, cultures, and the systems we live within all shape how we experience ourselves and the world around us. I believe empowerment comes not only from understanding ourselves, but also from understanding the environments that impact us. Together, we explore these influences while building greater awareness, self-trust, and connection.

The hope is that therapy helps you better understand yourself, trust your voice, and move through the world with greater clarity, connection, and confidence in who you are.
